Andrew Gray is a Certified Flight Instructor — Instrument (CFI-II) and active flight instructor at PlusOne Flyers in San Diego, CA, with 1,500+ flight hours. He founded GougeHub to give pilot applicants first-hand, examiner-specific checkride intelligence that didn't exist anywhere else.
Every report published on GougeHub is individually reviewed and approved by Andrew before it goes live. No report is published without a CFI-II sign-off.
Prior to flight instruction, Andrew served as a US Navy Test Engineer and a Boeing Aircraft Production Industrial Engineer on the C-17 Final Assembly and Test line.
As the sole editorial reviewer on GougeHub, Andrew reads every submitted checkride report for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with community guidelines before approving it for publication. Reports that contain identifiable personal information, test-answer leaks, or unverifiable claims are rejected or redacted.
Andrew's background in systems engineering and aviation test & evaluation informs the data methodology GougeHub uses to calculate behavioral statistics and confidence ratings for each DPE.
