Gouge Hub is built on a foundation of mutual respect, collaboration, and the shared goal of aviation safety and success. These guidelines help ensure our community remains a positive and helpful resource for all pilots.
All gouge and advice shared should prioritize aviation safety. Never share information that could compromise safe flying practices or encourage shortcuts that violate regulations.
Treat all community members, DPEs, and aviation professionals with respect. Constructive feedback is welcome; personal attacks and disrespectful behavior are not.
Share accurate information to the best of your knowledge. If you're uncertain about something, say so. Honest accounts of checkride experiences, including both successes and failures, help others prepare realistically.
We're all working toward the same goal: becoming better, safer pilots. Share your knowledge generously and support others in their aviation journey.
Designated Pilot Examiners play a crucial role in aviation safety. When discussing DPEs:
Remember: DPEs are aviation professionals doing an important job. Different testing styles don't make an examiner "bad" - they just require different preparation approaches.
When submitting gouge:
If you're sharing materials created by others, give proper credit. Don't claim others' work as your own.
